Before installation, a certified engineer inspects the cured roof slab to assess its condition and identify any additional preparation of work required. This ensures the roof is ready for waterproofing and thermal insulation.
A combination of POLYOL and MDI is sprayed at high pressure across the roof. The sprayed foam flows into every gap and micro-crack on the roof surface, then rapidly expands its initial volume multiple times to create a continuous, watertight, and insulating layer with superior heat resistance.
Once the foam sets, a UV-resistant coating either rubberized bituminous ADVATEX 1000 or acrylic ADVACOAT 250 is applied over the entire roof. This layer protects the foam from sunlight until flood testing is completed.
After the UV coating dries (minimum 24 hours), the roof undergoes a flood test to verify waterproofing effectiveness. A detailed inspection and test report document the results for compliance and quality assurance.
Following successful flood testing, a geotextile membrane (ADVAFELT) is laid for protection. Paneling with expansion joint filler boards is done, followed by screed application using pre-mixed cementitious adhesive mortar. The screed, reinforced with plasticizers and microfibers, achieves proper slope, thickness, and crack resistance.
Corners and construction joints are treated with heavy-duty PU sealant and backing rods to accommodate concrete movement due to thermal expansion and contraction.
